At the end of April we headed to LA for a conference and extended the trip a bit to go to the beach on Friday and visit one of the wards Lamoni served in on his mission on Sunday.
XS was doing their Fitness Friday so everyone got to do a workout that was streamed live by thousands of people! I was busy with the boys... ;-)
We arrived at 9 a.m. after driving all night. We drove in the van with a bunch of people so we actually got some sleep.

The XS bungalow is right on Laguna Beach. It's beautiful.
Deruchette and her kids showed up too!
In the van - we got the back row and Benjamin sat in front of us with Ryan and a friend.
After Laguna Beach we headed over to Santa Monica and spent the rest of the day at the pier and that beach.
We rode the Carousel at the pier.
The beach has an "adult playground" that was lots of fun.

Running from the waves is a favorite activity.
Benjamin had SO MUCH FUN playing in the ocean. He played for about 4 solid hours without taking a break. No fear this time...even when a wave knocked him over and he was rescued by Uncle Rick. He got right back in after drying his eyes.
Here are a few people that Lamoni baptized on his mission. We felt like celebrities there. It's neat that a ward remembers a missionary from almost a decade ago!
