December 2018

Peter just chillin' in the Costco cart.

Thank goodness for extended family to entertain Peter during stake conference.

Lamoni/Benjamin and Papa/Ryan went up to the mountains to sled after stake conference while I took Peter home to nap. It was deemed a "Sabbath activity" since they were with family. :-)

The end of semester cello group concert.

Peter got to go up with Joy and ring bells for Jingle Bells.

A picture of the natvity.

Our church hosts Celebration of the Nativity where there are hundreds of nativities displayed from around the world. They also had interactive stations for kids set up like this one.

Benjamin performed a few Christmas songs on the cello at the Celebration of the Nativity so we went out for an ice cream treat afterwards.

The night of stake conference we found out we were pregnant! I sadly lost that baby on Christmas Eve.

Benjamin made this gingerbread house at his art class. Note the snowman and the dog waiting at the front door.

Peter's favorite thing is to jump into the pool and swim to us.

At our ward Christmas party.

Some friends invited us to Chuck E Cheese for their baby's baptism celebration.

Grandma and Bampa gave the boys these fun toys for Christmas. We were only slightly surprised with how feisty Peter was and how he could knock Benjamin over.

Benjamin had his Suzuki book 1 graduation when we had all our family in town for Christmas. He played about 15 songs by memory!

My brother, Jacob, graduated from UNM with his Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, so we had a party for him at Azuma on Christmas Eve.

Isabelle, our sitter who lives over our back wall, gave the boys some really thoughtful gifts.

The Christmas Eve Nativity reenactment with Katheryn (and Joy stepped in to help).

Santa came! He brought fun toys and a big boy bed for Benjamin.

Also a really loud annoying microphone.

Peter just saw these pictures and said "I want to go to Christmas again!!"

We went sledding and took Ryan with us again.

Grammy and I had sooo much fun doing family history for hours and hours while she was visiting for Christmas. Lamoni was good about keeping the boys and everything under control while I was zoned out. I like to compare doing family history with video gaming addiction.

November 2018

Those eyes and the hair!! And the chubby cheeks. <3

At grandma's house for dinner looking at books with Katheryn.

They weren't actually sleeping - but it was still cute.

More swimming lessons with Audrey.

A lady from church who has taken the boys under her wings gave Benjamin this batman cup along with hot cocoa and marshmallows for his birthday.

I took Benjamin to his first concert (that he didn't play in). It was an Albuquerque Youth Symphony concert with a cello soloist. He of course sat amazingly through it and was happy to see they had cake at the reception afterwards! It was a fun mommy date.

Missionary badge and tie.

Peter's first dental appointment. He was easily "sedated" with a movie.

This large rock is outside the church where Benjamin has his math and art classes. The boys climb up and jump off a few times every time we leave.

Walking through stores can be difficult with Peter.

My brother, Ryan, had his birthday party at a store in the mall that has real exotic animals that the kids could touch.

Saying prayer.

Audrey wanted the boys to get used to wearing their goggles so they wore them in their baths.

Another art project of Benjamin's - I think it's a rocket. Note how he is sleeping in his goggles.

Benjamin had 7 (!!!) cavities! His molars are close together and I guess flossing 1-2 times a week wasn't enough. The dentist filled them in 2 sessions. The first one Lamoni brought him and they gave him laughing gas. I didn't know that, though, so when I brought him to the 2nd session I insisted that he didn't need laughing gas because he didn't have it the first time and did fine. I ended up winning despite the reservations of the Dr and hygienist. He did totally fine and only flinched once. When I got home and told Lamoni about it we had a good laugh when I heard he actually had used laughing gas!

At grandma and bampa's house with a ton of cousins.

Courtney and her family were staying at a hotel so we got to go swimming there.

Movies while I was teaching.

A visit in the cold to the temple. Neither of the boys like to be cold.
