September 2018

We're home schooling kindergarten this year since Benjamin missed the birthday cutoff. Which means we'll probably home school next year too.

Sunday dinner at Charity's house.

We hiked the Tent Rocks slot canyon with Faith and Jason's family before they moved. It was a great hike and the kids were tough troopers.

At the park with daddy after work.

Benjamin saying his night-time prayer. Note all the pictures he has all over his walls!

This. This is the corner I refuse to look at except for every couple months when I purge it. It stays clean for about 2 days before it's covered in papers and projects again. Lamoni said it best when he remarked on seeing the art work Benjamin creates makes the mess worth it.

Benjamin has been begging for a colorful rice crispy treat he saw at the mall. For his birthday he got $5 and was so excited to buy it. I told him that if he bought it, it would take all his money to buy 1 piece, or he could use his money and we could buy the ingredients at the grocery store and make a whole batch of them. All on his own he then said "I know, I can make them and then sell them to people so I can make my money back AND eat some!" I was so proud of him. So one Saturday morning he helped me make them and then Lamoni went around to the neighbors with him while I was at a rehearsal. He ended up making $13 and got to eat some. Peter was his helper so Benjamin paid him $2.

Benjamin giving us a Family Home Evening lesson. He loves to teach us and come up with games that go along with the lesson.

Peter singing Moana at the top of his lungs.

Some friends had asked for help in harvesting apples for those in poverty. Lamoni was off that day so we all went and picked apples.

The boys enjoy going to the botanical gardens. To the left Peter is standing staring at the model trains.

Horse rides

Peter was invited to his first birthday party and took some good swings at the pinata.

At the mall play place with Jared and Uriah.

Benjamin figured out how to attach Peter's car to his bike so he gave him a ride around the bike. I didn't know what to do with myself since he was doing all the work!

Peter is all about hats and sunglasses. He also loves his "babies." Any stuffed animal in the house is his. He currently sleeps with 9 stuffed animals - including one of Joy's (who has been living with us) and a couple of Benjamin's. If we try to give them their stuffed animals back there is a major fit.

Bampa was running for magistrate judge so we went up and helped campaign a couple of times. The boys were good helpers.
