Peter at 6 months

Peter started waving. It is adorable. He started when Lamoni came home from work one day and then soon after waved at me while nursing. He has been doing it since. It's neat to get a little glimpse inside his thoughts.

He has rolled over a few times and can scoot when he really wants something. I think it takes a lot of effort and willpower to move his massive self. He is also very easy-going, so if a toy rolls out of reach he will just play with whatever else he can reach instead of going after the other one. He prefers to play sitting up. He will play with toys while sitting for long periods of time. I can teach for an hour and he'll just sit there. He will only tolerate his stomach or back for 5-10 minutes before screaming to be saved.

I give him little bits of food that we are eating. He has tasted small bits of biscuit, mashed potatoes, apples and almond juice.

He grabs at everything and is SO fast. He has dumped multiple plates/bowls of food. We got the high chair seat out so he can sit with us at the table. He enjoys that but gets anything within his reach. Everything goes straight in his mouth.

We started signing milk, sleep and something else I can't remember right now. He definitely recognizes those words but hasn't started signing them back yet.

He is starting to prefer Mommy over anyone else - especially if he is tired or hungry. He is still a cuddler and I enjoy cuddling with him at night since it has been getting cold! He can't seem to stay very warm in his rock and play even when the heat is higher than normal, so he ends up in bed with us and keeps me very warm.

He will still nap at church in our arms. He usually hangs out with daddy during the 2nd and 3rd hour while I'm busy with primary.
