April 2023

April was a packed month! I couldn't believe how much we did when I put the pictures on here.

This has a glare, but the painting is what Benjamin worked on in his art class he's been taking!

Note the drawing at the bottom - this is why Benjamin's schoolwork takes forever! haha

Always happy when he gets to use his artistic skills places.

My former seminary supervisor was getting rid of blackberry plants so we went and dug some up. Lamoni has been sooo excited about them, watered them twice every day, and they all have fresh growth now.

This was the pretty view as I pulled in to my house after seminary.

Look at that cute little face. :-)

Church sleep is the best sleep.

Liam usually won't sleep with people, but sometimes he allows (and demands) it.

Liam loves doing puzzles and will do them multiple times in a row.

We were at a homeschool activity where we got to go in ancient Native American ruins.

Benjamin looks forward to monkey bread every Easter.

More church sleep

Easter egg hunt at our house:

Peter is always so thoughtful and giving. He gave so many eggs to Liam because he was concerned Liam wasn't getting enough.

While I was teaching one afternoon (luckily Lamoni was home), Liam was running upstairs, tripped, and fell hard into the corner of my dresser. It split his head open straight to the bone. I had to go to a rehearsal, but Lamoni took him to Charity's father-in-law, who's a doctor, and he superglued it together.

Annual egg painting at Grandma's house. I'm so glad she does it so I don't have to!

My mom arranged for all the grandkids (Faith was in town) to go to one of her friend's houses and help take care of the animals. It was a mini-farm experience.

My pictures are backwards once again, but Courtney's family came to visit us in early April and made a sourdough chocolate birthday cake for me.

We went to the aquarium and botanic garden with Courtney, Faith and Charity's families and my mom and Ryan. Courtney brought stuff for cookie decorating while we were at the gardens.

I love when Courtney is in my kitchen! Sourdough bread, focaccia, sourdough pizzas, cake... Constant yumminess.

We went with Courtney's family to Carlsbad Caverns and White Sands.

It was ridiculously windy and the sand burned our skin and got in every crevice of our body, but we still had fun. Surprisingly, Liam was the last one back into the van. He loved it so much!

We went out for Mexican after the Caverns.

Months in and this airplane still hasn't gotten old.

We listened to one day of General Conference on our own, and then Courtney and Rob (and their 7 kids) got here the 2nd day and we had a big General Conference party.
