April

April was filled to the brim with all kinds of events. Here are the ones that were documented with pictures!

Peter is in the "I do" (it myself) stage. He even has to hold the top handrail like we do!

At birthday lunch for me and Mommy. Peter can't get enough of Nathaniel - even when he's eating.

Grandpa Bear had a beautiful funeral service. The grandchildren sang a primary song for one of the musical numbers and the adult children/grandchildren sang an arrangement of Amazing Grace.
At the viewing the night before the funeral. Peter is so empathetic - he went around giving hugs to people because he saw they were sad.

Boy cousin hugs at the funeral.

The burial was really special. There wasn't a dry eye. The military was there and fired 3 shots while playing music. Grandpa Bear meant so much to so many people.

Benjamin rides and Peter pushes. Things still haven't changed.

Our neighborhood has many large rocks that the boys like to pretend are animals.

Benjamin spends most of his free time at this counter either making paper projects (he proudly says that he can make ANYTHING out of paper - and it's true), coloring or playing legos.

Look at his baby sleeping next to him!

Cousin time while we were up for the funeral.

Grace and I got our annual birthday picture.

Family Home Evening at Dairy Queen

Sunday naps are the best

Sunday evenings we often go on walks with the Fosters, our friends down the street. We walk to the "rock park" that has a bunch of these big rocks the kids climb on and jump off of.

We went to California for a business conference and went early and made a family trip out of it. We put a lot of thought into what fun activities we could do, but in the end all the boys wanted to do was spend time at the beach!

We did go to a fun aquarium, though.

Benjamin's scream was fake...
Peter's was not.

We also spent an afternoon at Downtown Disney with Grandma Melinda.

We went to a library and played in an art park while waiting for the weather to warm up enough to enjoy the beach.

We love the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel in Pomona that has a separate bedroom and a kitchenette.

We had Faith and Jason's kids overnight so we took them to the zoo on Saturday morning.

Grandma Kara and Papa got bunnies and the boys have soooo much fun with them. Peter is especially an animal-lover.

Even though we now have rocks the boys usually end up playing in the rocks.

The Easter bunny came to Grandma and Bampa's house since we were there the weekend that Grandpa Bear passed away.

I had a recital Saturday so Peter and I drove up really early Sunday morning to get there in time.

Peter always wants to ride in the back of the cart now because he does everything Benjamin does. It makes it tricky to shop since there's not much room around them!

We went on the parade of homes and saw some super fancy custom-built homes.
