July

Benjamin learned the song, I am a Child of God, so we have been enjoying him accompanying us for Family Home Evening.

We renewed our Bio Park pass so we went to the aquarium.

Mariah and Dentin have visited us a couple of times. This time we went to the botanical gardens.

I think the Japanese garden was probably our favorite!

Yes, this happened. While I was teaching. And it was a brand-new student. It was great.

Daddy helped Benjamin write and give his first talk in primary!

We were invited to a fun birthday party that had a bounce house and a cotton candy machine.

Benjamin completed a summer reading program and won a free Isotopes baseball game ticket. That gave us all an excuse to go for the first time together and had a great time!

Since the game, Benjamin has been really into baseball.

Charity and I played a wedding together and I was impressed with how she could move around to keep Nathaniel happy and practice at the same time.

Lots of play fighting goes on around here.

The boys were invited to a birthday party at a trampoline park. Both had a blast and I was surprised (though I shouldn't have been) at how independent Peter was. He landed on his ankle wrong an hour in so had to sit the rest out sadly since he couldn't even stand on it.

Unfortunately we took the cupcakes to go and this is what I saw when I opened the car door at home.

We had fun all summer going to the weekly story and music time.

And lego club at the library. It wasn't much of a club, though. There was only one other kid.

We're doing The Good and the Beautiful kindergarten curriculum. It has some fun reading games.

We went to Nashville for a business conference and left the boys. It was like a retreat without kids!

We drove through Oklahoma City and stopped to see Aunt Kathy on the way back and see her beautiful flower gardens.

Faith and Jason and their kids came to celebrate Independence Day at our house. We would have had a great view of the fireworks up on that hill across from our house, except it was too windy for them! They didn't start the fireworks til 10:30 p.m. when we had packed up and gone home.

Earlier that day we went on a hike with Faith and Jason as well.

Lamoni and I take turns going to the temple while the other watches the kids. This time Lamoni stayed at the temple with the boys.
